Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

Are you interested in the Catholic Faith?  Learning more about the richness of the Catholic Church? Or have you been away from the faith and in need of receiving the Sacraments you may have missed? This is done through our Rite of Christian Initiation program (RCIA) .

We invite you to learn what the Church teaches and to be introduced to some of our parish members.  These sessions are also opportunities for you, and those you may wish to invite, to ask those perplexing and difficult questions that you may have about the Church.  These gatherings are for inquirers and are open to people who are unbaptized as well as those who are baptized Christians from Protestant or Evangelical backgrounds.

We also have a class for teens called RCIA for Teens for those who did not complete their catechism through regular Religious Education classes. For more information, please contact: Heather Gardner

CATHOLICISM 101

Are Catholics Christians?
In a word, yes!

Catholics share many beliefs, as well as certain prayers, with other Christian faiths. But many of our practices may seem strange and foreign to those who are unfamiliar with them.

Sadly, many have been misled for generations to believe that our beliefs contradict the Holy Bible…the very Scriptures which the Catholic Church gave to the world, has defended and preserved for two thousand years.

Many Christians claim that the Bible is the only rule of faith. Catholics, on the other hand, recognize that the true “rule of faith”—as expressed in the Bible itself—is Scripture plus Apostolic Tradition,  as manifested in the living teaching authority of the Catholic Church,  to which were entrusted the oral teachings of Jesus and the apostles, along with the authority to interpret Scripture correctly.
