Women of the Parish—Join us for Welcome 2.0!
What is it?
Welcome is an overnight weekend experience for women, given by women. Previously known as CRHP (Christ Renews His Parish), Welcome 2.0 offers an opportunity through fellowship, faith sharing, hospitality, music, individual and group activities, and a celebration of the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist, to step back from the everyday to reflect on their lives and their spiritual journeys and build meaningful relationships with other women in the parish.
Who is it for?
Our Welcome Retreat is for women parishioners, age 21 and above, who are seeking spiritual renewal through prayer and sacrament, a deeper love of Jesus and a stronger connection to the family and mission of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
What happens on the weekend?
Women will have an opportunity to rest, breathe, reflect, renew and connect. The weekend begins on Saturday morning and concludes Sunday afternoon. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided on Saturday and breakfast and lunch are provided on Sunday. Participants sleep over on Saturday night with provided air mattresses, dorm style.
Participating in the weekend retreat will draw you closer to Christ and deeper reconciliation with God through the lived experiences and testimonies of other women in the Parish.
Experiencing forgiveness and offering thanksgiving through the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist are a central part of the weekend with liturgies celebrated on both Saturday and Sunday.
You will leave feeling inspired to more actively live the sacramental and prayer life of the Catholic faith and encouraged to become fully involved in the life of our parish.
How do I sign up?
Our next weekend will take place at Monsignor Donovan High School beginning at 8 AM on Saturday August 20 and ending around 4 PM on Sunday, August 21.
Fee is $40 and will cover all meals and supplies. Participants will need to bring toiletries, a sleeping bag or bedding; air mattresses will be provided.
