Christmas Giving Tree Program: December 9/10
St. Joseph Charities is pleased to announce the return of the Giving Tree! Our Giving Tree program helps make Christmas merry for families who are currently in need. Our selected families have supplied us with specific gift wishes and we ask our parishioners to help supply those gifts. Without the generosity of our parish, these families would most likely not have any gifts to celebrate the joy of Christmas with.
The Giving Tree, decorated with gift wish tags, will be located in the church parish hallway. Please stop by and visit the tree to select a gift wish tag and be part of putting the merry in Christmas for someone less fortunate. There are tags for all ages, and you can select 1 or as many as you wish! All gifts will be collected before and after masses on the weekends of December 2/3 & 9/10th.
Decorate for Christmas: December 23
Please join us on Saturday, Dec. 23 as we decorate St. Joseph for the Christmas Season. This is fun work and is set to start at 9:30 AM and we hope to have plenty of help to make the work go quickly. All are welcome, especially men, students needing service hours, and families. For more information or to volunteer, contact Edith Hollander.
Epiphany Party: January 5
Join us welcoming the Three Kings at our Multi-National Epiphany Party on Friday, January 5, 6:00-8:00 PM.
Parishioners are asked to share food tastings representing their family’s heritage. Just as we have come from all over the world to Athens Georgia, so do the Three Kings with special treats for the kids. Contact our Welcome Committee for details!
